When you post or comment in any group as you are writing the post you will see there is a check box below where you write the post that asks if you want email notifications when new comments are added. The box is checked automatically and you should decide whether to keep it checked. If you want the opportunity to respond to other comments and use them as an opportunity to build relationship keep the box checked. Sometimes I have found the email this generates can be a little too much. Open networking groups is a prime example. These groups usually have a place to post if you want more invites. At first I thought it was good to post there and check the box. This way I would see all the future posts and could make connections. It turned out to be a big problem because some people post several times a day in these groups. One group post can generate a ton of daily email. Now when posting in these groups, I do not check the box. If you have post that is already sending too many emails look at one of the emails there is an option to discontinue the emails.
